Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Hotel Porta Fira in Barcelona, I was immediately struck by the stunning design of this lotus-shaped skyscraper, a masterpiece by architect Toyo Ito. After an unexpected flight cancellation, I was grateful for their friendly staff who accommodated us effortlessly. The rooms were spacious, comfortably appointed, and came with an early check-in, which made a world of difference after our journey. Breakfast was a delightful experience, featuring a range of Mediterranean options that beautifully reflected the local cuisine, so perfect for my inner art historian seeking both culture and comfort. The panoramic view from the 18th floor offered a breathtaking glimpse of the city, prompting me to savor my morning coffee there while planning visits to Barcelona's iconic sites. With its proximity to the metro, this hotel not only serves as a luxurious retreat but also as a convenient launchpad for cultural exploration. I would happily return!
